General Questions

Each pair of SaferOptics glasses is made to order locally at our laboratory. Once we receive your order, the team at our laboratory will process according to the type of item you purchased. The process includes high precision lens glazing - scan, cut, trim and fit into the frames. Then, it goes through a strict quality control procedure - adjustment, surface checking, cleaning and disinfection before it is packed securely in a protective casing.

We use Medical Grade and KKM certified disinfectants in our cleaning process. As part of our safety measures, our laboratory is maintained in a Cleanroom and controlled environment where pollutants like dust, airborne microbes, and aerosol particles are filtered out in order to provide the cleanest area possible.

At SaferOptics, we craft every lens in our own licensed optical lab—trusted by safety industries and professionals for over 30 years. By producing everything in-house, we eliminate middlemen, inflated retail markups, and third-party licensing fees.

That means you get the same high-performance lens technology found in premium brands, at a more accessible price. Each lens goes through precise edging, advanced UV420 coatings, and strict quality control—because protecting your vision should never be a luxury.

Most regular blue light glasses rely on a basic surface coating that reflects blue light—often resulting in a noticeable yellowish tint that can distort colors and cause discomfort for some users.

SaferOptics lenses are designed for clarity, comfort, and complete protection. We use advanced UV420 lens technology that filters High Energy Visible Light (HEVL) up to 420nm—without compromising on color accuracy or transparency. Our lenses are:

  • Clear, true-colour lenses with no yellow distortion
  • More comfortable for sensitive eyes, even with prolonged screen time
  • Optical-grade materials with premium anti-glare and hydrophobic coatings
  • Available in FDA-certified, shatter-proof PC 420 Safety Lenses — ideal for active kids and adults alike.

While most brands focus on blue light reflection, we focus on absorption and filtrationbuilt into the lens material itself.

Yes, blue light glasses can be safely introduced to children aged 3 years and above, especially for screen time during home learning or digital play. However, adult supervision is always recommended to ensure proper usage and care.

While our children's frames are made from durable plastics and designed for comfort, please note that standard blue light glasses are not unbreakable. As they are not safety / protective goggles, they should not be worn during sports, rough play, or outdoor activities that carry a higher risk of impact.

At SaferOptics, your child's safety is our top priority. That’s why we offer the PC 420 Safety Lens upgrade—featuring FDA-certified high impact resistance, shatter-proof design, and full UV420 blue light protection. This lens upgrade is available with all our kids' eyewear, giving parents peace of mind without compromising on protection.

SaferOptics Kids eyewear collection features sizes for various age range. Small size category is suitable to fit children aged 2 to 7 years old. Medium size category is suitable for age 5 to 10. We also have a Big size category that fits students and teens aged 8 to 15 years old.

Our frames are made of soft silicone-like materials (TPEE, Ultem), making them lightweight, highly flexible and comfortable to wear. To ensure the best fit, please refer to the frame size guide available on each product page for measurements.

If you're unsure whether an older child or teen can wear them, we recommend measuring the width of their face and comparing it with the frame dimensions.

Yes, we do! Our adult eyewear collection is available for online shopping. Most designs are medium-sized, with selected styles available in large sizes for a more comfortable fit on wider faces.

We also offer prescription and reading lenses with 420 Premium Blue Light protection.

For prescription orders, a personalized review and order acceptance process will be conducted to ensure accuracy and compliance.

All SaferOptics eyewear comes with a pair of UV420 Basic non-prescription lenses. These lenses include blue light filtering, UV protection and anti-glare coating to help reduce digital eye strain.

Yes, you may select lens upgrades based on your lifestyle needs:

  • 420 Safety: Anti-break, 30% lighter, more durable and comfortable — ideal for long hours of screen time or active use.
  • 420 SunGrey: UV-reactive lenses that are clear indoors and turn into sunglasses under sunlight.

All lenses come with 100% UV protection, UV420 anti-blue light protection and anti-glare coating.

Ordering & Payments

  1. Browse our online eyewear collection and choose your preferred frame style and colour.
  2. Select Lens Options:
    420 Basic: Clear, anti blue light lenses. More Info
    420 PC Safety: Anti-Break, Shatter Proof, High Impact Resistance Safety lens with 420 blue light filter.
  3. Add to Cart and proceed to View Cart or Check Out.
  4. At Check Out, enter your contact details and shipping address. Shipping charges will be calculated at the next step.
  5. Choose your payment method (Credit Card, Billplz or Bank Deposit) and click "Complete Order". Proceed to make your payment.
  6. You will receive an Order Confirmation email notification. If you have created an account on our web site, you can log in to track your order status.

If you would like to customize your SaferOptics glasses with prescription lenses, we’re here to assist you.

  • Please get in touch with us and share a copy of your valid prescription (issued by an Optometrist or Eye Doctor).
  • Our team will review your prescription and recommend suitable lens options based on your power range and visual needs.
  • As lens pricing can vary depending on the prescription, we will provide you with a customized quotation before proceeding.

Yes, SaferOptics operates a licensed and registered optical laboratory, in compliance with Majlis Optik Malaysia (MOC) guidelines which regulates the sale of prescription lenses.

Our team is made up of trained Dispensing Opticians who are ready to answer questions relating to prescription lenses. Your vision is precious to us — and we are here to ensure every step is handled with professional expertise and heartfelt attention.

We accept FPX online banking (Billplz), credit card / debit card, GrabPay and Bank Deposit (manual bank transfer).

Yes, please leave a remark when placing your order if you require a printed copy of your order invoice.

Our eyewear are crafted in limited batches and tend to sell out quickly.

  • We believe in keeping things fresh — which means we often introduce new designs and updated collections to replace older ones. This way, you always have new styles and colours to look forward to!
  • New collections are typically launched every 2–3 months, with fresh arrivals carefully designed to bring more variety to your eyewear choices.
  • If a particular item is out of stock, it may be replaced by a newer model in future collections. Preordering is not available for discontinued models.

You can contact our customer service to get personalized recommendations or inquire about similar designs.

Once an order has been processed, it cannot be modified or cancelled. However, if you notice any errors or need to make changes to your contact/shipping details, please contact us immediately at hello@saferoptics.com. We will do our best to assist you before the order is shipped.

Yes, the prices displayed on our website include applicable taxes. However, shipping charges are calculated separately at checkout based on your location.

Shipping & Delivery

We deliver to all domestic addresses in Malaysia via local courier service.

Shipping charges within West Malaysia is RM6.00. Shipping charges for East Malaysia is RM10.00.

Free shipping for order total amount above RM120.

Yes. International shipping is available. Check the Shipping & Delivery page for more information on rates.

If your country of residence is not stated, please contact us to check the international shipping rates.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking and shipping information. Simply click on the link in the email or Track Order Here by entering your Tracking Number / AWB provided in your Shipping Update email or Order Status page.

Orders are processed within 1-2 business days and shipped Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Delivery typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on your location. We will provide you with a Tracking Number to monitor your parcel delivery status.

Note: During high volume/festive periods, your parcel may take longer to arrive.

Exception for Prescription Lenses:
Orders with prescription lenses may require additional processing time of 5-7 business days before shipping, as they are custom-made for accuracy and quality.

Yes, we offer free shipping within Malaysia for orders over RM120. However, Shipping Insurance is not included and can be added separately for extra protection.

Once your order has been processed and shipped, we cannot change the shipping address. If you notice an error with your address, please contact us immediately at hello@saferoptics.com.

Yes, we offer on-demand delivery via GrabExpress or LalaMove within Georgetown, Penang. If your postcode is eligible, you can select this option at checkout. Orders placed before 2 PM qualify for same-day delivery, while orders placed after 2 PM will typically be fulfilled the next day using our local delivery service.

Yes, you can select the Pick-Up option at checkout. Instead of shipping, your order will be ready for collection at our office.

Problems with Delivery

In the unfortunate event that you encounter a problem with the delivery — such as parcel not delivered, lost, stolen or damaged parcel; please contact our customer support to assist you.

You are advised to purchase a Shipping Protection Insurance if your order contains high value items. The insurance coverage cost is RM15. This option is available at the Shipping Method selection during Checkout. Please note that insurance claim is subject to approval upon investigation, which may take between 10-30 days.

If you did not purchase any insurance, we cannot be liable for lost, stolen or damaged goods.

  • Check the packaging to confirm that all items from your order confirmation are included. 
  • If anything is missing or incorrect, please contact customer support at hello@saferoptics.com or message our team.
  • Include your order number and details about the issue. We will assess the situation and resolve it quickly. 
  • If the error is on our end, we will send the correct item or process a return and refund.

After your order is shipped, you will receive an email that contains a link to check your Order Status. If the tracking information indicates that the parcel has not been delivered or you have concerns about the delay, please contact us at hello@saferoptics.com. If the tracking information is still updating, we recommend allowing additional time for the parcel to arrive.

Note: During high volume/festive periods, your parcel may take longer to arrive.

Warranty & Returns

We offer 1 Year Warranty against manufacturing defects on all SaferOptics premium 420 Blue light lenses. For 420 Safety lenses, we have a shatter-proof and full money-back guarantee if the lens shattered (broke into pieces).

Our warranty does not cover damage from wear and tear, scratches, damage due to chemical exposure, heat or other improper use. Warranty claim is subject to manufacturer's approval and stock availability. Promo price items are not covered in our warranty.

Eyewear frames are covered in our 14-day return & exchange policy, which means you have up to 14 days from date of receipt to return the product due to defects, damage or if you have received the wrong product.

To return an item, please contact us at hello@saferoptics.com or get in touch with our Customer Support team. If your return request is approved, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to return your item. Please make sure to have your receipt or proof of purchase ready, and ensure that the item is in its original condition—unworn and unused.

We offer a 14-day return policy, allowing you to request a return within 14 days of receiving your item. This policy applies to purchases made directly through our website, www.saferoptics.com. If you purchased an item from a reseller or retailer, please return it according to their specific return policies.

To exchange an item for a different size or color, please contact us at hello@saferoptics.com. Once we inspect the returned item and approve the return, we will process your exchange order based on stock availability. Note that exchanges are separate orders and may incur additional shipping charges.

Product colors may appear different on your screen due to device settings, monitor calibration, and lighting. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that the color you see will match the actual product color.

Color differences due to monitor settings are not valid reasons for returns. Please review product images and descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions, contact our customer support for assistance at hello@saferoptics.com

We provide a size guide to help you choose the right fit, but slight variations may occur. Please check the guide before purchasing, as we cannot accept responsibility for sizing errors. If your item doesn’t fit, refer to our return policy for instructions on returns or exchanges.

If you are unsure about the size, we recommend contacting our customer service for advice or reviewing customer reviews for more insights. Our size guide can provide measurements for each size, but if in doubt, we suggest reaching out before placing your order.

If your item does not fit, you can return it as long as it is in its original, unused condition. Please note that we do not cover incorrect-size purchases, and returns or exchanges depend on availability and our return policy.
